After a car accident, Dongar Technologies founder Kevin Sayo wanted to install a dash cam but didn’t want to deal with long, hanging wires, so he created an adapter that could utilize the power from his auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Since then, Dongar’s library of adapters has grown to support hundreds of car makes and sell hundreds of thousands of units, making this small business ripe for some design love.

03. The next design carried over the same functional characteristics of the previous, but with its focus now on the product rendering

04. The latest design set came with an evolution in the product line, the Dongar PRO, which offers drivers an option to keep their dash cam running even while parked.
