internal & external landscapes, portrayed in a variation of paper mâché, with some visual surprises.

rumination

Rumination is a multi-faceted sensory piece. It offers tactile experiences, visual surprises, as well as potentially inspiring a bit of introspection...with the right lighting.

In a world of convenience, we are rewarded—or perhaps cursed—with ample time to think. Those of us who are privileged with time, at least. Time to think can quickly turn sour when left alone for too long. Loneliness of course, being another side effect of our modern “conveniences”. What happens when so much becomes accessible instantly? The things that aren’t convenient start to feel uncomfortable. This piece aims to remind us that while it’s healthy to reflect, it can be hurtful to ruminate.

mountain flow

Ever since the first time I crested Las Tampas ridge at sunrise, I’ve wanted to capture those whispery layers of trees and hills. While I wouldn’t describe this piece as whispery, the style it stems from is rooted in seeking the same meditative state that those morning hikes bring about.
